Frequently asked questions

How do I type payoffs and probabilities?

Whole numbers, decimals and fractions all work: −2, 1.5, 1,5, 2/3. Probabilities of the types of one player must add up to exactly 1 (for example 1/3, 1/3, 1/3).

Which kinds of games can the Solver handle?

Why do some results show “≈”?

Almost everything is computed with exact fractions. The one numerical step is the fully mixed case of three-player games; those values are marked “≈”.

How do I change the language?

Tap the language button at the top right of the Learn, Solver or Practice screen. The app speaks English, Turkish, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese and Japanese, and starts in your device’s language when it is one of them.

How do I start over?

Each Solver mode has a button to start a new game. Deleting the app removes everything it saved on your device, including your learning progress.

What is free, and what does Full Access unlock?

Lessons 1, 2 and 24 and two practice problems (the Prisoner’s Dilemma and Chicken, with their solutions) are free. Full Access — a one-time in-app purchase, not a subscription — unlocks every other lesson, the whole Solver and all practice problems with their solutions.

How do I restore my purchase on a new device?

Sign in with the same Apple Account, tap any locked item to open the purchase screen and choose “Restore purchase”. Nothing is charged.

I bought Full Access but the content is still locked.

Check that you are signed in with the Apple Account you bought it with, make sure the device is online, and tap “Restore purchase”. If it is still locked, write to us with the date of the purchase — Apple’s receipt email helps.

How do I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple: request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Does the app collect my data?

No. Lessons, the Solver and Practice work offline and keep your games and progress only on your device; only buying or restoring Full Access connects to Apple. See the Privacy Policy.

I found a wrong result.

Thank you — please send us the game (a screenshot of the input is perfect) and what you expected. We check every report.
